Terms and Conditions constituting "Acceptable Use"

You may use this web site to obtain information about SonLight Software's products, to download the latest versions thereof, and to communicate with SonLight Software and the New Yanoff team. Any other use is prohibited without the express written consent of SonLight Software.

Distribution Policy

For now, we desire to STRICTLY control the distribution of Yanoff+ and all of its related files. Making any of its software files (or any subset thereof) available anywhere else (online or not) without the prior written permission of SonLight Software is prohibited! On the contrary, however, we strongly encourage the far and wide distribution of Yanoff- (the files that begin with "yff_*") via any and every means and media possible. We insist only that the files not be modified in any way and remain exactly as they were when you downloaded them from the download page.

Support Policy

SonLight Software will provide technical support to registered customers of Yanoff+ for a period of one year from the date of purchase, free of charge. SonLight Software may choose at its own discretion to offer free support to non-registered users and registered customers who have expired from the one year free support window. All technical support wil be via email; Sonlight Software makes no commitment to support any user via any other means (e.g. via telephone).

Refund Policy

New Yanoff can be downloaded and evaluated for FREE from this web site. We encourage all users to thoroughly trial this product before purchasing. Sonlight Software DOES NOT OFFER REFUNDS.

The only exception is if you have ordered more than one license by mistake, intending only to order one (AKA "double-billing").

Upgrade Policy

Which upgrades are free and which are not?

Minor Upgrades

Licensed Yanoff+ customers are unconditionally entitled to free minor upgrades for the major version that they purchased.

For example, anyone who purchases Yanoff+ 2.0 is entitled to all minor upgrades in the 2.x.y release stream (where 'x' and 'y' are any number; from now denoted as "2.*.*"). This is not just for a purchase of 2.0; any 2.*.* purchase entitles the licensee to any later 2.*.* minor upgrade at not additional cost.

Major Upgrades

Registered users of any major release are entitled to a reduced-cost upgrade to the next greater major release. For example, if you register Yanoff+ 2.*.*, you will be entitled to a reduced-cost upgrade to Yanoff+ 3.*.* but not to any higher release (such as 4.*.*) unless you had upgraded to 3.*.* before 4.*.* was released. In other words, if you want to retain your entitlement to the reduced-cost upgrades, you MUST remain current with every new release. Once you fall a release (or more) behind, you must pay full price to "catch up" to the latest release to regain your entitlement. This software is so excellent, though, you'd have to be CRAZY not to upgrade your license immediately with every new release!

Once you've paid the upgrade fee, you are entitled to free minor upgrades for that major release stream the same as if it had been an original registration of the major release. For example, if you pay the upgrade fee for Yanoff+ 3.*.* (after having previously registered Yanoff+ 2.*.*), you will be entitled to all minor upgrades in the 3.*.* release stream.

What If I Purchase Right Before a Major Upgrade?

We offer a free upgrade to any customers who purchase a license within 30 days of the release of a major upgrade and who also contact us within 90 days of their purchase to claim this offer.

Privacy Statement

Sonlight Software respects your right to privacy as much as we value the ability to contact you. We will never, under any circumstances, sell or otherwise divulge your name, email address or other personal information to a third party.

What information do we collect?

When you purchase software from SonLight Software, we collect personal information to allow us to fill your order and provide technical support services. Information we collect may include your name, address, telephone numbers, and email addresses. We DO NOT keep credit card information on file. If you join our mailing list, we collect only your name and one email address.

What do we do with this information?

Only Sonlight Software has access to customer information. We will not give or sell your private information to any third party for any purpose without your express consent.

We will use the information you provide to notify you of important announcements such as special offers and software updates. If you do not want to receive this information, you can be excluded from these announcements by clicking on the "unusbiscribe" link at the bottom of an email.

Review and Correction of Personal Information

At any time, you may request or update your personal information in our database. You may also request that we delete your registration data and personal information entirely; however SonLight Software will then have no record of your purchase and will be unable to provide you the free technical support and reduced-cost upgrades to which you would otherwise be entitled.

Security of Information

SonLight Software will take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, unauthorized alteration, destruction or other malfeasance.

The EU has adopted a privacy directive substantially regulating the privacy rights of citizens of member states. While Sonlight Software does not recognize any jurisdiction or authority of the EU over us, nevertheless we voluntarily provide the following information:
